Steele Street Floral and Good Tidings Nautical Gifts, located on the corner of Steele Street and Third Street, in the heart of historic downtown Algoma has been the home of various artists throughout the years. Stop in and meet February's featured artist, jewelry artisan, Jennifer Paape. She has a double master's degree and always an artist. She has a love for the arts and people of all walks of life. Jennifer's work displays a passion for all things pure and natural. An avid gardener, mother, runner and outdoor enthusiast, working with her hands is second nature. Jennifer works with semi-precious stones, wood, glass, swarovski crystals and various other media. Metal-smithing is a favorite and all earrings wires, posts, pins and clasps made of sterling are hand forged. May you find that wearing this art is as cup-filling as creating it. STEELHEAD SALOON’s building was originally built in the 1880’s as the Bastar Hotel. It was quite the meeting place in town. A dance floor and orchestra loft was housed upstairs with rooms aligned parallel across the hallway. The Bastar boys were all in the band and their mother was the inn keeper. Join the Art Wave and experience Algoma’s historic buildings from the inside out. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Steelhead will feature several red wines at half price during the next Art Wave, Friday February 11. Don’t forget the soon to be famous $10 All You Can Eat Friday Night Fish Fry featuring Homemade Beer-battered Alaskan Pollock. Located at 530 4th Street, or visit us at www.steelhead-saloon.com.

THE ECLIPSE GALLERY will not be participating in the next few Art Wave events, but watch for them to return to the venue in spring. Visit their website at www.theeclipsegallery.com.
