TL Foundation Grant

TL Foundation Grant
This grant is being offered in the memory of Tom and Retta Levenhagen, the parents of Ellen Levenhagen, founder (with Mark) of Clay on Steele. Tom passed away on June 16th, 2010 a few years after his wife Retta passed. They left a legacy in their children and grandchildren, all whom have an interest in the arts, education and community service.  Both Tom and Retta Levenhagen have been life long supporters of the arts including music, theatre and fine art. This fund is in honor of their dedication to nurturing creative ambitions and dreams in each of us.
Tom Levenhagen left Ellen $857 from his Veterans account.  That sum is now the beginning of the TL Foundation. That amount will be added into the foundation on the following dates:
Oct 17-Tom and Retta Levenhagen’s anniversary
Dec. 13th – Ellen Levenhagen’s Birthday
Feb. 4th -Tom Levenhagen’s Birthday
March 13th- Retta Levenhagen’s Birthday
(give or take a few days)
Total- $3,428 per year
Recipients for the funds:
Anyone who has an idea, dream or plan for an art related event that uses clay for an educational, social awareness or community building event is eligible. Classes, workshops, exhibitions, or community service events using the Clay on Steele facility are all acceptable.
This account is intended to get an event started and may not totally cover all costs. Recipients are encouraged to match funds received from the TL foundation with a small fee to users of the event.
Please send a brief description of your proposal to Kris Kolinski, 221 Steele Street, Agoma, Wi, 54216. Grants recipients for 2011 will be selected in February 4, 2011.
